Confined Spaces Entry And Rescue
Course Overview
Confined Spaces Entry & Rescue is designed to expose and increase the awareness of the hazards associated with confined space work and to support all personnel to implement effective measures and precautions to perform tasks in a confined space environment. Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about the several techniques and ways to perform confined space rescue operations and how to safely implement a rescue plan.
Course Delivery
The course includes both theoretical and practical sessions, covering the following topics.
- Describe the specificities of a confined space.
- Identify the confined spaces at the workplace.
- Describe the risk control hierarchy principles applicable to the Confined Spaces.
- Be familiar with Drilling Industry administrative safety tools related to confined spaces.
- Know the approved equipment, selection and utilization to work in a confined space.
- Demonstrate how to prepare and entry into a confined space.
- Describe the confined space rescue plan and its importance
Course Requirement
There are no mandatory prerequisites to attend this course. However, delegates must have a valid medical certificate before attending this course.
The course is designed for HSE Representatives, Drillers, Assistant Drillers, Derrick hands, scaffolders, riggers, telecom riggers, and any other person whose duties require performing Rescue At Height operations.
Certificate
- Written and practical tests will be performed
- Our Instructor will perform a competency assessment during the practical part of the training.
- Successful completion of the course and a pass mark of 80% or above will result in a TAMSE issued Certificate valid for two (2) years.
